I found your website by accident. I 'worked' (actually hung around the studios as a teenager - both my parents had contacts) with Donald Gray in the late fifties. He was a charming man, as well as being far more handsome than he appeared on tv. You might be interested to know that he got the part of Mark Saber despite having lost his left arm (not because of it) the original character was a two-armed policeman in America. When the series was bought for England the character became a private detective.

I wrote a Biography Colonel White Meets Mark Saber on actor Donald Gray. Murder on the Campus UK title Out of the Shadow was released in 1961. He also provided voice of Colonel White in Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons. I have photos of him in Emmerdale in 1974 and Donati Conspiracy in 1969. He was a Continuity Announcer and Newsreader on BBC in the fifties and repeated that on ATV London in 1967. There were also commercials. Copies of my Book can be obtained at EBAY at the Railtique Store,I sell them for charity at £9.99 plus postage.
